When One Door Closes....

Another door opens. I feel like I’ve been repeating that saying for the past 18 months in an effort to stay positive. Remaining flexible and committing to movement is getting me over some significant hurdles (and I’m not just just talking about house renovations here!).

My son is now in a public school across the street from our new house, summer was relatively normal with camps and a couple of out of state vacations and the long lead times on items are narrowing as we near the end of our remodel. Granted we may be moving into our house without a refrigerator but I’m not going to panic yet. I was told when I placed the order for the fridge in April (yes, 5 months ago) that it wouldn’t be delivered until end of Sept or early Oct. I rolled the dice hoping it would magically appear when I was ready for it - which is essentially NOW.

As we head into the final stretch of the project, I can expect to wake at 4 am with ‘monkey mind’, contractors can expect to join me on my emotional roller coaster ride and my family will be left on their own for the next couple weekends while I prepare the house for occupancy.
